Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
This young athlete boasts considerable online presence
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known backers as she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates multiple courses worldwide and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions this year and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to different demographics, especially among the next generation.
Kai has a massive following and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
